Tech Mahindra has chosen Richard Lobo, a seasoned executive from Infosys, to serve as its new chief people officer.

Lobo spent nearly 23 years at Infosys, where he served as executive vice president and head of HR, before leaving to join edtech company Byju’s in an advisory role.

Tech Mahindra has officially appointed Richard Lobo as its chief people officer, effective from January 3, 2024, designating him as a key member of senior management. The company made this announcement in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

Lobo, a seasoned professional from Infosys with nearly 23 years of experience, previously held the role of executive vice president and head of HR at the IT firm. Following his tenure there, he transitioned to an advisory position at edtech company Byju’s.

Tech Mahindra’s MD and CEO, Mohit Joshi, expressed confidence in Lobo’s ability to lead with a people-centric approach and cultivate future leaders, which Joshi shared on the social media platform X.

Tech Mahindra announced that Harshvardhan Soin, who currently serves as the chief people officer, will transition to the role of president for Asia Pacific & Japan, starting from January 3rd.
